A pastel color is a soft color obtained by mixing a pure pigment with a light color, usually white. It’s a nice color for spring or summer. Especially when its used in cotton. So this scarf is pure organic cotton and knitted in very light colors. Very comfortable to wear. The model is wearing Size M ( 32 x 190cm) but the scarves are also available in S ( 22 x180cm) . 🇳🇱

When dyeing skeins of yarn for an ikat scarf, one must always allow plenty of yarn for the weight of the skein to prevent running out of yarn.
Usually, remnants from that specific dye lot remain. These are used for the multicolored scarves. These scarves are made from the leftover yarns of the various ikat skeins. Existing yarn is also used if there is insufficient ikat yarn left. As a result, these are unique scarves, just like the ikat scarves themselves, but this way, no yarn remnants are left over.

Ikat is a resist dyeing technique in which strands of yarn are tied off and dyed before being processed.
The tying off is done according to a precise system, creating patterns.
I use this technique for knitting. It creates a unique graphic design that’s one-of-a-kind. Therefore, no Ikat scarf will have exactly the same pattern. Different colors and sizes are available. 🇳🇱 .com

Ikat is a dyeing technique in which the pattern is created by locally binding off the yarn, leaving parts undyed, resulting in graphic patterns after knitting. Every scarf is unique cause of the knitting technique and the ikat technique combined. 🤪 Hard to explane by the way 😊. 🇳🇱
