RANDOM THOUGHTS: we looked outside this morning and said faaaaah, grateful we not setting up in this anymore!
3 years ago we would of been out in the rain at the Avondale Markets and at our very first market there, we were out on a dirt road that we quickly called the slums 🤣 safe to say it was our first and last time at that spot.
We managed to wiggle our way in what we called Hollywood Boulevard at the Avondale Markets because of all the foot traffic.
Stayed comfortable there during Summer Season but once winter hit faaaaahhhhh it was s**t, having to put the marque up in the dark while it’s cold, tie it all down, make sure the rain didnt touch any of the clothes. If we didn’t wanna be there then surely no one else would wanna come out on a day like this… so why the eff are we coming out on days like this
We stopped doing the Avondale Markets ages ago, we can’t remember exactly when but stayed hustling at different Sunday Markets around Auckland. For 3 years we would talk about how to get out of the market hustle, we invested money in places that didn’t work out, we tried 100 different ideas to try pull away from the markets and for along time nothing worked… until it did and now It’s our first winter in business not doing the markets. Elo weekends like this makes us grateful for the work we’ve been putting in.
We almost called the day off today because it’s cold and stayed warm at home watching our anime but we quickly snapped out of it. Man if this is cold imagine how cold the versions of us 3 years ago were facing. If they knew that 3 years later we would be living the life we talked about, they would tell us to f**k up and get to work 😅😅
So here we are on a Sunday pumping out our custom orders, website orders and trying to get restock done for Taupo Collectables next weekend.
If this is what life looks like when you talk about things and action all of those things just imagine where we will be 3 years from now coz without spoiling too much our conversations lately have been 🤬🤬🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯😱😱😱😱😱😱 hahahaha URBN AX BABBBYYYYYYYY
