For all you out of Auckland’s, you can post us your film! Just include your name, email and phone number in the package and we’ll send you out an invoice!

As some of you may know, we made a post the other day saying that we managed to locate and pick up a Fujifilm Minilab for C-41 colour film processing machine from the Hawke’s Bay a couple of weeks ago.

Our lab service is currently up and running and available to drop off now! While we search for additional lab equipment and get the new space set up, all of your film will be processed off-site, but you’ll receive your photos through our new system and be able to collect negatives at Junktion.

Once we have the new space up and running, all C-41 colour film will be developed right here at Junktion!

Junktion Film Lab Expansion! 🎞️

We’re opening our own film processing and development service AND we’re expanding our store!

We’re going to making Junktion even bigger and better! This means more cameras, more film, more space and a film lab!

As some of you may know, we managed to locate and pick up a Fujifilm Minilab for C-41 colour film processing machine from the Hawke’s Bay a couple of weeks ago.

These machines are incredibly rare and notoriously difficult to find, and we’ve been searching for one ever since we opened Junktion. We’ve always dreamed of one day being able to process film ourselves and now we finally can!

This is a huge step for us, and we’re incredibly excited to bring in-house film processing to Junktion and now offer a one-stop-shop film service! 📸🎞️

Our lab service is currently up and running and available to drop off now! While we search for additional lab equipment and get the new space set up, all of your film will be processed off-site, but you’ll receive your photos through our new system and be able to collect negatives at Junktion.

Once we have the new space up and running, all C-41 colour film will be developed right here at Junktion!

If you have film you want processed, bring it in from today onwards! If you live too far to drop off, you can mail your film to the shop!

Hasselblad 500CM Full Kit + Nikon F4 Full Kit!

Had a pretty exciting call first thing this morning when I got into work. Someone wanted to sell their Hasselblad 500CM, so I hopped in the car and drove straight there!

These cameras belonged to Max, who was a professional photographer and used them to shoot New Zealand bands back in the day, such as Split Enz, The Dudes, and The Scavengers. He also shot fashion magazines!

Max showed me some of his work in his old photo albums, and I was blown away (see the attached photos)!

Will be cleaning and testing the Hasselblad up and will be available at some point next week!

Limited edition Mamiya RB67 Pro S aka ‘Golden Lizard’

This camera was released to celebrate the 11th anniversary of the RB67 system. There were only 300 units manufactured and this is the first we have ever come across!

Will be available online next week however it will be in-store for purchase from tomorrow! Come check it out! 🦎

We hit the road yesterday to collect this beauty! Been a while since we last had a Hasselblad in store!

The Calypso-Photo - a rare camera indeed! In the 7 years of trading this is the first Calypso we have ever seen in real life and it even comes with the original box!

The Calypso is a historic 35mm film camera conceived by the legendary marine explorer Jacques Cousteau and designed by Belgian engineer Jean de Wouters in the early 1960s.

It was revolutionary for being the first self-contained underwater camera that didn’t require an awkward, bulky external waterproof housing.

The camera was so innovative that Nikon acquired the design and manufacturing rights in the early 1960s. Nikon then rebranded the camera as the legendary Nikonos I in 1963, spawning a highly successful line of underwater cameras that lasted well into the 1990s.
