I've been dissecting broken jewellery lately to make myself new items and occasionally sell and i thought I'd offer up some of my excess bits for crafting, or my intact pieces that I've picked up along the way.

Please let me know if you like this idea too. I have soooo many fantastic findings, beads and more, suitable for crafting new jewellery yourself or your crafting projects.

A little broken jewellery rescue from today’s finds!

I’ve been sorting through a bag of vintage and pre-loved jewellery, separating the intact pieces from the broken treasures. Anything wearable will be cleaned up and offered for sale, while the broken pieces, loose beads, charms, chains, findings and interesting vintage components will be sorted into little repurpose bags for jewellery makers, crafters and upcyclers.

Because broken doesn’t necessarily mean useless. There are some fabulous old components hiding in jewellery bags that deserve to find their way into someone else’s project rather than the bin.

How time has changed the story of a once simple piece of life that now carries history.

I honestly had no idea we had so much smoking memorabilia floating around, but once you start to think about collections, it starts coming out of the woodwork.

These fragments of old clay pipes were once ordinary, everyday objects. Used, broken and discarded as people smoked them, they survived long after the ones who held them. Alongside two different types of wooden pipe and a wonderfully aged box of R. Bell & Co’s Royal Vestas, they’ve become something quite different: little pieces of social history.

Sometimes it is tiny things, barely thought of that can become fascinating simply because time passed around them.

I hope you enjoyed the last little collection of treasures, because I had so much fun putting it together.

While choosing pieces for this one, I realised just how many beautiful things I have tucked away, each with its own little piece of history, craftsmanship or story.

So here is the next glimpse into my collection. Vintage photographs, tiny miniatures, old jewellery, beautiful objects and little treasures that have somehow made their way through the years and eventually found their way to me.

I absolutely love collecting these pieces, and I think I’m going to love sharing them just as much.
