Last week, our SELF Academy ® first-year fashion students dived into Fashion Illustration where they learned about color theory, and how to draw different body silhouettes and various garments. They will apply their skills to conceptualize their first ever Capsule Collection. 🎨✨

Congratulations to our SELF Academy ® first-year fashion students for their official retail debut this past weekend! 🎉

After completing our 7-Month Introduction to Fashion Design Program, students presented their 3-piece Capsule Collection to fashion buyers for the opportunity to be featured in a retail window display. Only 4 students made the cut and were officially selected to have their Collections seen on full window display in Wilbourn Sisters Design Showroom for the public to see.

A huge appreciation to our amazing Student Placement Program, Booked by SELF Agency™️ Agency, for always going above and beyond to create meaningful opportunities that take our students beyond the classroom and into the fashion industry. For their final project, our first-year fashion students were assigned to develop a 3-piece, contemporary Capsule Collection. Our Booked by SELF Agency™️ team spent a few days evaluating their collections, alongside fashion recruiters. This was filmed in the middle of evaluations where discussed what we loved about each collection.
