Uncommon Closet, LLC The Uncommon Closet is a place where people in the LGBTQA+ community and those with uncommon body types can receive custom clothing and tailoring services.

Uncommon Closet, LLC is a custom clothing and tailoring shop dedicated to helping the Chicagoland LGBTQ+ community feel more comfortable in their clothes. We offer a wide variety of tailoring services as well as consultations for custom clothing. We are by appointment only and do not accept walk-ins. My story, as most stories go, is complex with a lot of roller coaster loops. My fiancée is the mos

t supportive and wonderful person I know and is a trans woman. She struggles on the regular finding clothing that fits her and the aesthetic she wants to portray. So in the summer of 2017, I decided that since there wasn't a place in Chicago currently catering to this need, I would have to do it. So here we are, trying to make the world a little bit better one garment at a time.
