Custom braided sleevings and fabrics can be manufactured to meet exact areal weights, part dimensions and performance requirements. A braided fabric with a 0°, +/-60° braid architecture provides balance and symmetry in a single layer. Quasi-isotropic orientations have equal properties in each direction, reducing layup time and increasing the part’s impact resistance.

Rapid, consistent manufacture of thermoplastic parts! Braided Sleevings, Fabrics and Preforms can be produced using slit tapes in a wide range of polymers including PEEK, PEKK, PAEK and PPS.

A&P Technology designs and builds machinery capable of handling slit tape thermoplastic tows to produce off-axis reinforcement for parts with complex geometries and tight curvatures. Slit tape fabrics are available in +/-45° and 0°, +/-60° architectures, as well as custom orientations, produced to exact widths for a near zero waste solution.
