Did you know that grief does not always refer to losing a loved one?😳 THAT’S RIGHT!👏🏻 Grief is a word that is used interchangeably with bereavement, but grief is not exclusively about the physical death of a person.🥀 Grief is actually just the human response to loss! Whenever we face loss, we often experience grief.🥲

Due to the Pandemic, the last few years have been filled with a multitude of various kinds of losses. It can be any loss – the loss of a husband, a wife, a partner. The loss of a son or daughter. The loss of health or bodily function. Even the loss of a job, a relationship, or way of life.  

Grief is a normal response to loss during or after a disaster or other traumatic event. Grief can happen in response to loss of life, as well as to drastic changes to daily routines and ways of life that usually bring us comfort and a feeling of stability. 

Common grief reactions include:

• Shock, disbelief, or denial
• Anxiety
• Distress
• Anger
• Periods of sadness
• Loss of sleep and loss of appetite

It is important to recognize grieving as a process, so you can give yourself time and permission to heal. ❤️‍🩹 If loss is a kind of pain, then grieving is the pathway to its healing. ✨

She also mentioned that she intentionally only created 30 days so that you can have one day of choosing to do whatever you want or nothing at all ✨
