Frozen. This past week, where I was things were frozen. It can be beautiful when you look at the way the light is reflected through the ice and how everything is just a bit lighter than normal.. it can also be a HUGE pain- slick roads, canceled flights, cabin fever. When things are frozen outside, you can feel stuck in a certain situation-given the circumstances of it’s safer to stay home, but more than the obvious it can highlight the reality of a frozen place in your life. Maybe you’re frozen in unforgiveness over a wrong that was done to you, you’re frozen in negative thinking that things will never change, you’re frozen in a toxic relationship.. With ice, the only way to break up is brute force or heat. Both of which can be painful. But these slow winter days are the perfect days to address this and take the ice pick to these frozen places, apply pressure and heat to that area and let it melt away once and for all.. As Elsa would say it’s time to “LET IT GO!” Give it to God. Invite Him to begin and shine His warmth into that situation.
“His brightness is like the sunlight; He has [bright] rays flashing from His hand, And there [in the sunlike splendor] is the hiding place of His power.”
