Needed a spot on the feed! As a Muslim kiddo growing up in America, this representation did NOT exist.

And today, it still doesn’t. Moms are constantly upset that schools do not add Ramadan and Eid to the curriculum yet other holidays are widely celebrated.

My public elementary school offers signs as part of a fundraiser for our auction. I read the fine print and bought a sign to coincide with Eid Al Fitr. I submitted my wording a year ago and was THRILLED to see this message up all week.

This is representation. Alhamdullilah.
