๐ต'๐ท๐จ๐ท๐ท๐ ๐๐๐ ๐จ๐๐๐' ๐ต
This handsome, personable, ๐ซ๐๐ ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ๐๐, ๐ญ๐ฌ-๐๐ฟ-๐ผ๐น๐ฑ, ๐ญ๐ฐ.๐ฏ๐๐, ๐ด๐ฒ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด used as avid mountain explorer & trail blazer. The problem - โPappy the Appyโ is just too tall for โGrappyโ to mount from the ground this year soโฆ I have had him here at the feedlot getting him tuned up & ๐ซ๐๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ซ here!
โผ๏ธ Since Pappy arrived here it was evident that he had a good foundation at some point but also that he obviously hadnโt been rode consistently enough to have been made into a solid citizen as of yet. He showed signs that somewhere along the line he learned that he could make the decisions on what types of adventure was going to be had & he did this by toughening up in the face & throwing a little sass out if he objected to my ideas.

I now have him where he understands that I get to decide the adventures we will have but, without a doubt, he should still have a few more months of this type of consistent riding by a firm horseperson before I would say to you that he will retain this new found attitude where you turn out for the winter & have that perfect horse you waiting for you come spring (he is ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ ๐จ๐๐, it is just his new abilities he might forget about).
๐ง ๐จ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: I had been riding Pappy for about 6 weeks when the ๐โโ๏ธ had a big weekend trail ride where they ended up being short of a horse, so they came & got Pappy because he had been working great for me. The ๐โโ๏ธ that rode Pappy on that trail ride was a dedicated weekend warrior but with little authority & Pappy figured this out in 5 seconds & well yaโฆ you know the rest of the story. He came back to me needing a quick, firm reminder of who was riding him & then he quickly bowed back into compliance & has been continuing like that since.

๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐. He will just (sometimes) test his riders mood, personality or ability by sassing what is asked of him - like a human that is all talk but no action or a teenager who is testing authority ๐ (tail swishing, not being soft in the mouth, tries to go in a different direction just to gauge you, pretends he is scared of something, that type of sass - he doesnโt have the gumption to do anything worse). If you are just a rider who wants to plod around on casual strolls with friends or nose to tail on a mountain trip - he is perfectly fine doing that for anyone.
๐ฏ He is perfect around ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐๐น๐ฒ, has been ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ต ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฑ off of a bit, works ๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐, is perfect around anything with an ๐ฒ๐ป๐ด๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ & will go through any type of ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป without hesitation. He is ๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ broke, stands in a ๐๐ถ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฎ๐น๐น, fits a ๐๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐น๐ฒ wonderfully & gets along well in a ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฑ environment or on his ๐ผ๐๐ป.
โ ๐๐ฒ ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ฒ๐ ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ต๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฝ๐๐น๐น, ๐ถ๐ ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐ต๐ & ๐ถ๐ ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐น๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฑ๐น๐ฒ.
โก๏ธ He is up to date on everything but should probably have his ๐ฆท done & ๐ cleaned at some point. He is currently shod all the way around & has pads on his front ๐งฒ. Sadly, Pappyโs ๐โโ๏ธ is most definitely guilty of not maintaining Pappyโs hooves & to make things worse - Pappy is naturally a flat-footed, thin soled horse to start with & when he got here, he was cracked & bruised ๐๐. His front feet will still need more time but since I put pads on him, he is WAY better - just tip-toeing if he steps on a bad rock, etc & yes may still present sore first thing in the morning but I am confident that it is muscle soreness from compensating because he quickly walks right out of that.
๐ฃ I have described him as perfectly accurate as a live animal can be & because of the circumstances of everything, this as is - where is but you are welcome to come try him if you can swing it before the ad ends. I am just helping the ๐โโ๏ธ out
