September means it’s time for the HoM Annual Hat Sale. One day only on September 26th, we’ll have men’s hats, women’s hats, straw hats, felt hats, and some fun one off samples. I like to clear my shelves so there is a clean slate to work in for the year ahead. Mark your calendars for 8 am on 9/26!

When I first got this color panama, I thought I had made a mistake. Then I rethought it as a men’s style fedora with a distressed tonal ribbon and I fell in love. Everything is waiting to be turned into a great hat! The Scout fedora, on the website now.

I’m playing around with some new techniques today and it is very frustrating! Ending the day with a revisit of one of my favorite pieces this year to remind myself I can make hats.

I dusted off the cowboy hat block this week for some custom hats for my trickiest clients. The feedback I got was “I’ll know it when I see it” which as any designer knows is the kiss of death for a long project. Fingers crossed!

I put this hat on this morning and it is so cute, it should be on someone’s head. The Scout Fedora in a unisex tie dyed green with a marigold dyed silk band and gold skull. One of one and on the website now.
