Recently I started going to Art School at Sofia's Art Academy in Dallas, TX. We decided that some formal art instruction could help me out a lot in my dreams to become a fashion designer. I like the classes a lot. They are serious art classes - not like arts and crafts. I am learning a lot about drawing and painting. I thought I would show you what all I have done so far - some are drawings and some are paintings. We draw from still life they put in front of us and they correct us as we go. The class sizes are very small and each student works on their own project, so it's a very good school. I love it! Check out the photos of my work - let me know if you like them 😍

Here are some of my new designs. I hope you like them. I just started going to an art school a couple of weeks ago, so hopefully my designs will be getting better and better. A little about me... I just had my 12th birthday in January - only one more year and I get to be a teenager - I can't wait! Another important day is coming up next week - my Heart Day. This is the anniversary of the day somebody gave me the incredible gift of life by giving me their heart. My Heart Day is March 6. This year is special because it is the 10 year anniversary of me getting my new heart. I am very grateful. I am very happy I am here to share my designs with you - I hope you like them.

I am 11 & dream of being a Fashion Designer someday. I am also a Heart Transplant survivor, so I am very thankful to be here to have these dreams of my future. I know all good Fashion have to know how to sew, so I have spent my summer going to quite a few Sewing camps. I would like to show off some of the things I made this summer! This is a simple Skirt that I made to fit myself. The fabric I chose is a light cotton. The fabric in the main part of the skirt is a Light Orange & White small circle pattern, and the fabric used for the thick band going around the bottom hem of the skirt is a matching light orange. I love wearing this skirt - it hits me about mid- calf and I wear it with a knit white Tank Top and Accessorize with lots of colorful jewelry. It's fun to wear something I made myself - it makes me proud. I made the skirt at the Urban Spools camp in Dallas TX. I loved the camp because it was so much fun and I learned so much!

This piece is a pair of Pajama Pants I made to fit myself. The fabric I chose was cotton in a kind of tiedye type pattern of dark pink, light pink, and peach that I just love. I finished off with a decorative pink ribbon bow at the front waist, which is an Elastic Waist. These pajama pants were made at a camp at Bernina in Plano TX. It was my second year to go to camp there, and my teacher told me I had improved since last summer! I love the classes because they are so fun and I learn so much!

This piece is a simple Tote Bag. For the fabrics I chose for the outside a pattern with the Eiffel Tower all over it because I am obsessed with Paris even though I haven't gotten to go there yet, but can't wait to go! For the inside fabric I chose a Mint Green with large Polka Dots & was very happy with my choice. I have been taking this bag everywhere! I made this bag at a camp at Urban Spools in Dallas TX. It was very fun & I learned so much!

I want to thank you all who come to my page to look at my designs. It really means a lot to me. I hope you will give me some feedback. I just put up 21 new designs, and I'm feeling pretty inspired, so I have a feeling you'll be seeing some more soon! I hope you like them. A little about me...I am 11 years old & dream of being a Fashion Designer someday. I love to share my newest designs with you to see what you think. I love to design fashion and an learning to sew & I love everything Paris! I can't wait to go there someday! I like making fashion scrapbooks of my favorite fashions from my Mom's fashion magazines - this is a fun activity my Mom does with me - she calls it her "wish list". I think its important for fashion designers to know how to sew, so I'm taking lots of sewing camps this summer. I'll be showing you some of the things I've been sewing too! I had a life-saving HeartTransplant when I was 2. I'm very thankful to be here!

This dress isalso part of my Heart Collection. In my imagination I like to dream that I am a Fashion Designer and I have a charity to help children in need of or who have had a life-saving heart transplant. My Heart Collection line would be to raise money for that charity and to help those children and their families with whatever they need - Heart transplants have a lot of costs associated with them aside from the surgery that families often need assistance with. This dress has hearts with keys on them - it is a key to my heart dress. It is very versatile and could be worn during the daytime or at dinner time. It is paired with a key to my heart necklace and vintage lace-up boots. In my vision, wearing this dress would help kids who need a heart transplant or are survivors of having had one. For those of you who don't know me, I myself received a life saving heart transplant at the age of 2. This is why this cause is so "close to my heart". One day when I am a fashion designer I want to truly carry this out.

This Cocktail lDress is from my Heart collection. If I were a real Fashion Designer I would want to have a charity to help children who need or who have had a life saving heart transplant. That is what the Heart collection would be about - to raise money for those kids. It's just in my imagination now, but it's a dream and I hope to one day make it come true. This cocktail dress is full of hearts, though obviously perfect for Valentines Day, I think it would be a lovely dress to wear any time you are with someone you love or just want to go to an event knowing you helped a child live by helping them with getting their new heart through my charity. Heart transplants are very expensive & many families need help with the associated costs.For those of you who don't know, I myself received a life saving heart transplant at the age of 2. This is why this cause is so "close to my heart". One day when I am a fashion designer I want to truly carry this out.

This is also part of my Swimwear collection, but is also part of my Heart collection. It is a dream of mine as a future Fashion Designer to have a special charity for children who need to have a heart transplant or who have survived having a heart transplant, and as part of my dream my Heart collection line would raise money for the charity to help those children and their families with whatever they need - there are many high costs associated with having a heart transplant and this line would be for them. This swimsuit is a bikini, red with pink hearts on it to show support for the heart collection. Anyone wearing it would be super cute on the beach or by the pool while helping a child who is getting a new heart! For those of you who don't know, I myself received a life saving a heart transplant at the age of 2. This is why this cause is so "close to my heart". One day when I am a fashion designer I want to truly carry this out.
