SUMSARA is inspired by the 19th century Royal British Colonial times, particularly the Maharaja. The Maharaja had a great passion for arts and craftsmanship.

The only king to employ artisans and craftsmen in his royal court. "Adorned in the most sumptuous style, her bridle overlaid with gold and enamel, precious jewels around her neck, there stood Laili in the palace yard, always in the King's sight" - The Horse And The Rider by Rollo Springfield (19th Century). He was known for his nobility, most significantly his philanthropic spirit. He loved horses

and was known for his legendary horse named Laili. Laili was a sixteen-hand dappled gray mare with dark features and was magnificently caparisoned with bright colored tassels braided in her mane. She was the king’s favorite horse, and highly regarded not only for her beauty, but her powerful presence on the battlefield. The two were known for their equestrian feats among French and British generals. Today, we celebrate this noble, passionate and philanthropic spirit for the human kind through expression of SUMSARA. We are inspired by design, arts, and the finest techniques of craftsmanship. We love the handcrafted. We love ancient techniques of the past and cutting edge techniques of our modern world, redefining elegance for modern and stylish women. SUMSARA celebrates elegance of the past by redefining it for the stylish modern women through an expression of British tailoring combined with a romantic flare. Our pieces travel across the world to France, Italy, and England for the finest craftsmanship, highly detailed construction for a beautiful expression of style and elegance. SUMSARA is charitable, and global. We are enriched by the experiences around the world. You may find SUMSARA at different events around the globe specifically exhibiting at equestrian sporting events like polo, horse racing, and show jumping. Each year we focus on carefully selected charities addressing important issues such as environment, sustainability, we face today, giving back a portion of our time, sales and/or product to those in need.
