Reproduction in real life.
"Lamb's head on a plate" of Viggo Johansen.
Part of the exhibition opening dinner.

The process included texting around 20 farmers and slaughterhouses asking: "Hey, any chance I can get a freshly cut lamb heads (with fur and eyes)? Its just for an culinary art project."

You can imagine I had some explaining to do..

Add to that few phone calls and visits to a local taxidermist, learning exactly how to handle and prepare this creature with respect.

It was so much fun - and even tho I am used to working with meat, this time it felt different.
Washing them was a real face to face with death. Definitely very memorable experience.
A real autumn danse macabre.

Thanks to Skagens Museum for the trust ✨️
