As the Intimate Apparel buyer for Neiman Marcus, Rita introduced labels such as La Perla, Hanro of Switzerland, Wacoal and Hanky Panky to name a few. Her vision of Intimate Apparel has been shaped by her travels to Europe and the Far East searching out new and exciting labels to bring to the United States. Rita married the love of her life but it required her moving back to the Midwest and leaving Neiman Marcus. The vendors she met at Neimans soon reached out to see if Rita would open a wholesale showroom in Dallas and represent their luxury lines to boutiques across the southwest. Rita Harris & Associates was launched. Over the past 25 years in the intimate apparel industry, Harris has represented such lines as Claire Pettibone, Jonquil, Christine Designs, Cosabella, Hanky Panky, P.Jamas, Simone Perele, In Bloom, Arianne and Honeydew. Harris has been instrumental in all areas, from product development, merchandising and sales. How have we achieved our success? By using our vast, high-end retail experience as savvy fashion industry businesswomen with a vision to be fun, fashionable and fresh. “We want the best,” said Harris. “We want a great quality product at a great price for our customers.”
