Spending late nights working on the shop has become a ritual for me. It’s a work in progress, so I’m not taking many photos inside right now (don’t worry- I will!). At the end of the night when I close up and make my way out to the car, I’m continually in awe of how beautiful this old building is. I’m so thankful I’m getting the opportunity to work alongside great people to create a space and community I love and that I hope others will love too. We are getting SO close to opening our doors! We’d love if you’d share our shop/IG with your friends and family. The greater the community we have to share it with the better. Goodnight from Oak Cliff Revival. We’ll see you soon. ❤️

I’ve spent the last few nights working at the shop since getting the keys. I have to say, it’s my favorite time in here. Playing music while the lights are dim. Organizing the space while having a night cap (first photo was from night one where I batched old fashioneds). I love the feeling of getting lost in all the vintage while the world is quiet. There’s so much to do, but I’m excited for all the possibilities. I took the bulk of these photos last night while I was closing up shop solo. Today my friend and business partner Melissa is bringing in her furniture and display pieces- so more changes ahead! Lots to do before the East Dock Open House next Saturday! Hope you’ll come hang out with us in our little piece of vintage heaven. ❤️

Got the keys to our vintage shop today! Girl. I’m SO pumped to get started with setting everything up! Brought over as much as I could today without the rental truck. Came home to pack up more and finally I’m done for the day at 9:45pm. 😅 Tomorrow is the furniture/bigger stuff day so I better rest up while I can. Keep following along for more updates!

Things are really starting to happen at our space in East Dock! This week some of our key light fixtures are going in and next week we get the keys and begin the move in process!!! We’re so excited to share as much of the process as we can with you!

Right now we’re in talks of what will happen to the facade of our space and how our Oak Cliff Revival signage will work. Being the original 1915 brick building, AJ and his team at Proxy Properties wants to make sure they honor the historical details of the structure, which we’re all about!

One of the things you’ll find at our future vintage shop are painted pieces of furniture. Jo sources pieces both for restoration (refinishing or keeping the original stained wood finish) as well as for painting (pieces that deserve a second chance at life and paint is the best option). This French Provincial triple dresser is both beautiful and well built: a combination we’re always on the hunt for!

Still thinking about a few things I didn’t pick up over the weekend at the estate sale, and this quote is constantly rattling around in my head! Whether it’s a great deal or it’s a vintage piece I don’t come across often, as long as I go with my gut when sourcing vintage, it’s hard to go wrong. And often my gut tells me to buy!
