Loop Costumes & Dancewear

Loop Costumes & Dancewear We are a resale marketplace for dancewear & performance costumes. We partner directly with studios to make resale easy and worthwhile.

We help performers, parents, and studios keep these items in circulation - reducing waste while making high-quality pieces more accessible and affordable.

✨Resale for Dancers✨ Loop is a costume resale and takeback program designed to give dance and performance costumes a second life — and help studios, parents, and performers earn back, reduce waste, and keep costumes in motion. Parents send back

pre-loved costumes, we handle the resale process, and both parents and studios earn back — creating a more sustainable and circular future for performing arts.

The cycle: Comp ends → costume comes home → “I’ll deal with it next week” → bin in the basement → discovered in 2055 by someone’s grandkids 😅😬

Or… you list it. Five minutes. While it’s still fresh, still in your hands, still has resale value.

Buyers are shopping right now for summer intensives, fall classes, and next season. Your costume’s next dancer is out there.

We’re after THIS feeling. 🤍

The exhale. The space. The money back. One less costume in a landfill. One more dancer on stage.

If you’ve tried to sell costumes on Facebook lately… you already know. 🥲

What used to be a few sketchy DMs has turned into something else entirely. Group admins demanding QR codes. Phishing messages disguised as buyers. Scammers texting sellers’ personal cell phones. Entire groups shutting down because the moderators just can’t keep up anymore.

Selling a costume shouldn’t feel like a heist.
That’s exactly why we built Loop. Verified sellers. Secure Stripe checkout. Prepaid, tracked shipping labels. No phone numbers between strangers. Buyer and seller protection on every single sale.

Your costumes deserve a second life. You deserve a way to make that happen without watching your back.

The dance industry has a fast fashion problem and nobody’s talking about it.

Let’s talk about it.

The average competitive dancer wears each costume 3-5 times before it’s outgrown, the routine changes, or the season ends. Most cost $80-500 new. Multiply that by 4 routines, then by 10+ years of dance, and you’re looking at thousands of dollars of barely-worn polyester sitting in basements across North America.
We surveyed our community. 100% said their old costumes “sit until the end of time.” 0% said they donate. 0% said they trash them.
So they just… accumulate.

Loop exists because the alternative — buying new every season, throwing nothing away, pretending it’s fine — isn’t fine. It’s a fast fashion cycle wearing a sequined leotard.
Resale isn’t a workaround. It’s the only honest answer.

A reminder that Loop isn’t just for costumes 🤍
Leotards, warmups, tights, activewear sets — if it lives in your dance bag, it has a home here.

List in 5 minutes. Get paid when it sells.

Meet Michelle: Professional tutu maker, podcast host, and Loop seller extraordinaire 🌟

Started as a dance mom making her daughter’s nationals costume. Now she’s building professional-grade pieces that last through multiple dancers and countless performances.

Here’s what we love about Michelle’s story:

✨ Quality over quantity - Every piece is constructed to withstand the real demands of dance

✨ Second life philosophy - “There’s something really special about seeing a costume have a second life on stage”

✨ Professional trust - Chose Loop because it feels secure and thoughtful

The Michelle difference? When you buy one of her pieces, you’re getting professional craftsmanship designed to last through multiple dancers.

Hours of design, patterning, construction, and hand-finishing in every piece.

P.S. Yes, she interviewed our founder Arielle on her podcast ! Small world, big impact 🎙️
