DIGGING THROUGH A FRESH THRIFT CART 👀

Fresh cart = everything else can wait. 😂🛒

I spotted a new cart coming out and obviously had to see what was hiding in those bins. After a little digging, I pulled out this gorgeous uranium glass citrus juicer. 💚🍋

For a second I thought we had a winner… until I noticed a few chips.

As much as I loved the color and the vintage look, condition matters — especially when I’m sourcing for resale — so I decided to leave this one behind. 😭

Now I need to know…

Should I have left it?!

A series where I share items I left behind at the thrift store — why I left them & what their potential resale value could have been.

This round had me second guessing a few decisions. 👀

A ceramic poodle, a VERY dramatic pink lady, some brass, a miniature peacock chair and a couple pieces that definitely made me stop and investigate.

Not everything vintage — or vintage looking — needs to come home with me. Sometimes the price isn’t right, sometimes the resale margin isn’t there, sometimes condition kills it…and sometimes I simply have to remind myself that I cannot buy everything. 😂

So…did I make the right calls?

THRIFT HAUL → FOR MY ETSY SHOP 🛒✨

This run gave me SUCH a fun mix — and honestly, this is exactly why I love thrifting for the shop. 🤎

Woven baskets, blue + white pottery, brass frames, colorful ceramics, vintage decorative pieces, a little bit of coastal, a little bit of quirky…and some really good texture mixed in. And some perfect pieces to transition to fall! 🍂

Some things I know exactly how I want to photograph and list the second I pick them up. Others come home because I just know there’s something good there — and I get to do a little digging afterward. That’s half the fun. 👀

Everything shown was handpicked for Etsy inventory and will be cleaned, researched, photographed and making its way into the shop.

AUCTION PICKUP DAY → THE HAUL WAS EVEN BETTER IN PERSON

There is something about auction pickup day that feels a little like Christmas. 😂 You bid from photos, cross your fingers, and then finally get to see everything together in person.

This haul was SUCH a good mix — old wooden sieves, washboards, primitive kitchen and household pieces, a beautifully worn basket and then somehow… a little Jay Strongwater sparkle mixed right in. ✨

Basically everything I love sourcing in one pickup: pieces with age, texture, patina, history and just enough oddball charm to make you wonder what some of them were originally used for.

Some of these will be headed to the Etsy shop, some are giving me serious future-booth vibes, and a few definitely need a little more research before I decide where they’re going.

And yes… I already have favorites. 👀

I went in planning to be selective… and then the cart started filling up, at BOTH stores

A little vintage, a little weird, some really good texture, a few pieces I had to research on the spot, and definitely a couple things that almost didn’t make the cut.

I’m still not showing everything just yet because I want to do a full breakdown of what I bought, what I paid, what I left behind + what I think has the best resale potential.

Let’s take a look at what has sold in my Etsy shop for the middle weeks of August ➡️➡️➡️

It was a solid 2ish weeks with a very eclectic mix of items selling- some higher priced items & some middle priced items - some sold instantly and a few older inventory pieces headed out to their forever homes

What shocked you the most?? What has been selling for you??

Birthday week has officially begun and I can’t think of a better way to kick it off than with an obnoxiously large Diet Coke and a little treasure hunting. 😂🥤

No list. No expectations. Just wandering the aisles and hoping the thrift gods got the memo that it’s my birthday week and I deserve a REALLY good find. 👀✨

Honestly, Diet Coke in hand + a cart to fill = my kind of celebration.

WHAT’S IN THE CART? 👀

This week’s thrift run was all about the little unexpected treasures 👀 — the things you definitely weren’t looking for, but somehow end up in the cart anyway.

I came home with such an eclectic mix: vintage vanity and jewelry storage, tiny gold frames and mirrors, a gorgeous cobalt celestial plate, studio pottery, a sweet little floral box, nautical ship art, brass, a vintage watering can, and quite possibly the cutest little duck lampshade I’ve ever thrifted. 🦆🤎

And this is exactly why I love thrifting for the shop. There’s no checklist. No two trips ever look the same. I’m just hunting for pieces with character, age, texture or that little something that makes me stop and take a second look.

Some are valuable, some are simply charming — and sometimes those are my favorite finds of all.

Everything was handpicked and cleaned up, photographed and making its way to the Etsy shop!
