Friends that are near, please follow our good friends Smiley's, who make authentic shave ice and will be at an event near you this summer. And yes, those badass shirts on those beautiful people were made by yours truly ❤️
As we gear up for the 2026 season, we wanted to take in moment to introduce ourselves. We are the family behind Smiley‘s - Frankfort‘s only locally-owned shave ice business 🍧
The idea for Smiley’s started after detouring on a road trip just to buy shave ice, and while talking about how refreshing it was in the July heat, we realized Frankfort did not have any shave ice options - lots of delicious ice cream but no shave ice. So, we took a leap of faith and started Smiley’s in 2024; we opened a few times late that summer out of our commissary kitchen. By 2025 our trailer was ready and we were able to be open several times. We are looking forward to being open even more in 2026!
Smiley’s is a family-owned and operated business, and we are proud to be part of the Frankfort community. We work to keep our prices affordable, and we absolutely love seeing people enjoy our products! Make plans to visit Smiley’s this season – we’ll have some new menu items, and we can’t wait to see you 🍧
