I swear these Fridays are coming faster. I think that I’m getting spicier as I age. What’s funny to me now is also true. 😬😂

Be sure to share your giggles with a friend because this world is a lot these days.
Everyone needs a Friday funny. Think of it as community service. 😂😂

Before anyone called me the Queen of Christmas, I was just a girl who wanted what she saw in everyone else’s photos.

The warm house, the pile of gifts, the laughter that didn’t come with a price.

Growing up the way I did, the holidays were a coin flip. Some years were okay. Others were anything but okay. My mother had a way of pulling the joy right out of a room, especially on the days that were supposed to matter most.

I spent years not knowing what to do with all of that. I mean, what does one do with chaos? Eventually I decided to use the pain for good. I chose to do the opposite and I created the best holidays I could for my kids and now for my grandkids. I also do that for every client who trusts me with their home.

This is why Christmas decorating is not a job to me, it’s a calling. It’s my way to give someone else the opportunity to create whatever memories their heart desires.
I build for this all year long.

What holiday means the most to you and why? I want to know.

The planning and the sleepless nights of dreaming of Christmas trees in my head has begun. I’m actually making decisions on which colors, ribbons, and ornaments will go on my trees for the “Trimmed” Christmas Tree decorating class.

Of course there will be fun colors and gorgeous ribbons. It wouldn’t be me without them.

Think about it this way, we begin decorating right around November 1st every year and if that seems like forever until then, well, it’s actually only 22 weeks away.

So much planning to do

The truth is if you never try, you will never learn.
When I look back at photos of trees that I did 31 years ago, I cringe. 😬🥴
Why? Because I get better every year.

Some methods work better than others.
Get your tickets to “Trimmed” next Tuesday and learn what works best and how to get the same results you see here.

Now, tell me, what type of tree would you like to see me teach at the class?
Whimsical? Themed? Traditional with a twist? Bright and Colorful?
I have done so many different trees that I have lost count.
The truth? I love them all but I also love that I get better every year.

We may do things differently. That’s exactly the point.

Keela and I have been friends, fellow designers, and Christmas obsessive for years. This August we’re teaching everything we know in one room. Two methods, five styles, one unforgettable day.

Trimmed. August 22nd. Pearl, MS. Tickets go on sale in one week.

Save the date. 🎄

Yes we decorated a tree last week in the rain, with four little girls running around. We are bad like that but we sure did have fun and so will you.
😂🎄🎉

So you know how to put ornaments on a tree?
But do you know how to artfully design a tree?
Do you have a style?
Or do you just buy a bunch of things and hope for the best?

There is an easier way. I can teach you how to determine what you should design with and exactly how much to get it exactly the way that I would decorate a tree.

If you want to learn the Alisa Berry Method of decorating a tree, classes are coming in August.

🎄🎄🎄BUT 🎄🎄🎄

You will not only learn the fun, colorful, maximalist method, you will learn from on how to design an elegant, serene, or traditional method.

The best part? Neither are wrong. You can even mix the two. The trick? Knowing how.

Mark your calendar now for June 2, 2026.
Tickets will go on sale then with limited quantities of early bird tickets.

Now tell me, do you follow Keela Boone Designs? You should

You are invited to a Rising Tide Society meeting on May 20th. I will be the guest speaker in honor of Mental Health Awareness month.

I’m sharing my story with these small business owners to encourage them to not give up and to just keep swimming.

If you don’t know what the Rising Tide Society is, it’s a group of small business owners that believe in “Community” over Competition.

I would love to share my story with you and I hope you will join us.

We are going to have a good day today! Say it with me. We are not going to jail today. 😂😂😂
Laugh it off. Friday funnies but sassy.
You definitely need to recite the prayer on the last one. 😬😳😂

Use your sassy voice and spread your favorite to your friends

For most of my life I dressed to hide.

Cover the arms. Minimize the hips. Tone it down. Take up less space. I followed every unspoken rule the world handed me, and I followed them faithfully.

What I didn’t realize then is that I wasn’t protecting myself. I was just disappearing.

Nobody told me that the shame I was carrying didn’t belong to me. It belonged to people who hadn’t made peace with themselves, and somehow I agreed to hold it for them.

I’m not holding it anymore.

If you’re dressing to hide, I want you to hear this. Your body is not a problem to be solved before your real life begins. She is your real life. Dress her with color. Dress her with intention. Dress her like she matters.

Because she does.

The shame was never yours. Put it down and go get dressed.

Mother’s Day is complicated for a lot of us.

Some of you are grieving a mother you lost. Some of you are grieving the mother you never had. Some of you are longing to be one. Some of you are sitting with the weight of all the ways you feel like you fell short.

This one’s for all of us.

My mother had mental illness, alcoholism, and narcissistic personality disorder. She fed me. She clothed me. She kept the lights on as best she could. But she was not the mother a child needs. And for a long time, I didn’t understand why.

What I know now is that she may not have been capable of the one thing that holds everything together.

I’ll tell you what that is on the last slide.

Happy Mother’s Day to every woman carrying this day in whatever shape it takes for you. 💗
