Plaid doesn’t match itself ✂️

In our cutting room, every panel of our new Glen Plaid is placed by hand so the pattern lines up exactly at the side seams — not close, exact. It’s a skill of its own, and we have a cutter who specializes in it.

The kind of detail you’d never notice in a finished piece. Unless it was missing.

The starting point 📌

A wall of everything that shaped FW26 before it came together. Saxophone shadows against a city skyline, wheat gone gold and sun-worn, old portraits layered like memory, plaid in every weight we could find, and the first sketches taking shape in the middle of it all.

This season it’s quiet comfort — soothing, familiar, a little nostalgic. There’s a jazz-age stillness running through it, and a palette of vanilla, cinnamon, and plum w**e that feels like it was there from the very first pin on the board. Every mood board starts like this: fragments, references, first drafts, slowly becoming a collection.

It's easy to forget how much actually goes into one piece before it ever reaches you. For us, that's exactly the point of showing it.

A sketch doesn't become a finished piece without a lot of steps in between, and we're there for every one of them - the fittings, development and production. ✏️

Every one of those steps is handled by the same team, from start to finish.

This is how pattern grading was done before computers.

Han recently showed us one of the traditional machines once used to grade patterns by hand in New York’s Garment District.

Watching it in action was like seeing a piece of fashion history.

While the tools have evolved, the goal hasn’t. Every size still begins with precision, technical knowledge, and years of experience.

It’s a reminder that some of fashion’s most important craftsmanship happens long before a garment is ever cut.
