While pregnant with her son and setting up her nursery, she noticed that high quality handmade baby clothes and bedding with nostalgia of traditional English style were not easy to find.
'I grew up in India with super soft Indian cotton voile
quilts and muslins, with hand embroideries and timeless delicate detail – elements which I have worked with for years in fashion, and now that I am a mother, are even more important to me for my baby. Given that I wasn’t satisfied with what I found out there, and that we have a lot of manufacturing experience – I decided to design and make it myself!'
Our baby clothes are made from the highest grade of hand-picked Peruvian pima cotton available, which is 100% certified for its premium quality. True Pima cotton is an unrivalled soft and silky fabric, and is therefore perfect for precious new born skin. It also allows skin to breathe naturally which is essential for regulating a baby’s body temperature. All of our items are lovingly hand made by traditional artisans, detailed with smocking and embroideries immaculately hand stitched. Our nursery & bedding range is made from the softest Indian cotton voile, hand block and screen printed in our workshops in India – a country where Fee and her family have lived and worked, and retain a huge passion for its people and traditions. These traditional hand skills combined with our modern manufacture processes are unique, and make our collections what they are. We like to think of our designs as modern day heirlooms to pass down – beautiful things that will last through generations and the test of time, plus a fair bit of washing along the way!
