The Stitch Works

The Stitch Works Custom Embroidery; Long-arm quilting In 2005, we purchased a 6-needle embroidery machine to do custom embroidery.

We stitch monograms, business or community group logos as well as personal embroidery. We can personalize your gifts such as towels, aprons, clothing, caps and table wear, blankets, pillow cases, etc. We will monogram your briefcase, travel bag, school or sporting jacket, team wear or bathrobes. In 2014 we added a long-arm quilting machine and began to do quilting as well. We have a computerized d

esign program for professional results every time. We would be happy to help you with your embroidery or quilting needs.

Update: Today was my follow-up. Doc said the head looks good. Scabbing will come off a little at a time like a regular scab but incision looks good. Grade 2 tumor. They removed about a 1 1/2" tumor. They will do an MRI (checking growth in case anything is still there) and an EEG (checking for seizure activity) in 3 months. Then I will see the surgeon again. She also wants me to see a neurologist - in case the episode in March was actually a seizure. She referred to PT for overall strengthening. I can drive again! I'm doing OK except for extreme fatigue, which is to be expected.

Thanks for all the support, prayers, meals, help, etc!

I worked in the shop for a couple hours yesterday and again today. Thank you for your patience as I continue to get my strength back.

UPDATE: Surgery went well. I don't have all the details until my post-op next Wednesday when I will get the stitches out. The tumor was grade 2 (they thought it might be a 3 so that is wonderful). My hand is working again. I can dress myself., hold my coffee cup, etc. I am surprised at the exhaustion with such limited movement but told that is to be expected. Family and friends have taken care of my every need and I am feeling very loved.

I want to thank each of you for the prayers, support, calls, visits, meals, etc. I'm amazed at my 'village' from so many different directions and back grounds.

I had hoped to return to work in a couple weeks but... realistically... might take me a bit longer!

So glad she pulled this out of the closet and had it quilted! We used Creeping Fig design from Urban Elementz.
