The Stitch Works

The Stitch Works Custom Embroidery; Long-arm quilting In 2005, we purchased a 6-needle embroidery machine to do custom embroidery.

We stitch monograms, business or community group logos as well as personal embroidery. We can personalize your gifts such as towels, aprons, clothing, caps and table wear, blankets, pillow cases, etc. We will monogram your briefcase, travel bag, school or sporting jacket, team wear or bathrobes. In 2014 we added a long-arm quilting machine and began to do quilting as well. We have a computerized d

esign program for professional results every time. We would be happy to help you with your embroidery or quilting needs.

A friend made the block for this little quilt but due to her health was not able to finish it. I added the sashing and borders and used the leftovers for an ‘after quilt’ for the back.

Quilted with Birds on a Wire design from Denise Schoeber.

Susan made this quilt that she named ‘At Grandma’s’. It is fascinating! EVERY block is a memory and very detailed. The rocking chair even has the end broken off of one of the arms.

The back is pieced in retro fabrics.

Grandma and Grandpa raised cherries so she chose wild Cherries from Urban Elementz for the quilting design.

What a treasure!

This is one of my favorite scrap quilt patterns! Mary made it from a pattern she got from a magazine. You can use any combination of scraps and 2 feature fabrics and it pulls everything together.

She chose Plumeria from Urban Elementz for the quilting design.

Nice work, Mary!

Hello quilters,

An update on my surgery - and recovery…

I am doing well although still dealing with fatigue, which I am told is normal.

I am accepting quilts tops if you need them quilted. If you have one here, I will be working in the studio this week.

I appreciate your patience as I have had ANOTHER interruption in my life.

Also, I would like to thank those of you that checked on me, visited, brought food and gifts, prayed for me and showed love. Quilters are the BEST people!

We used Raindrops from Urban Elementz for the quilting, turning the project sideways so it stitched out like water/waves rather than raindrops.

Here’s another scrappy quilt that Sharon made. She pulled blues and browns from her 2 1/2” squares and pulled this together.

We used Flower Whirl from My Creative Stitches for the quilt design. Such a pretty pattern and really shows up nicely on those plain blocks!
