Every detail on this altar was put together with careful hands and a heart full of love. These quiet moment allowed me space and time to reflect on my loved ones who no longer join me in this space, but who I know always stand beside me.

That’s why this Saturday is so important to me. It’s a moment where I get to open up my heart for all and hopefully you will join too. Siempre Bailando debuts this Saturday from 3pm - 6pm at New Deal Distillery & Bottle Shop. Folks are encouraged to contribute to the community ofrenda and share memories of the people they love and remember. Bailando Afuera Presents will be on site helping us move through these emotions with movement and good music.

Together we will laugh, dance, and honor the memory of our loved ones 🤍

This altar is apart of the Altares y Mu***os Tour celebration brought to you by Ideal Pdx Milagro Cargo

What’s up friends?! My name is Savina Monet and I loooove all things collage. I’ve been working on my craft for the past 9 years starting from digital collages and moving to the real deal glue to paper collage. I’ve had the joy of teaching both adults and littles the joy of collage in hopes that it inspires them to invite more creativity into their life.

Some of my favorite techniques include paper weaving, decollage, teeny tiny collages (like the 2” square on slide 3!) and my newest way to connect with people: collage portraits! I curate my materials based on my personal identity and experiences, often gravitating towards bright colors and references of Mexican cultura. After years of collecting (hoarding?) materials I’ve decided to share curated collage kits to help expand accessibility to collage by making a ready-to-craft piece in each packet.

I love food. I especially love food when it’s hand-shaped pasta coated in a thick red sauce like Nonna would make. So of course I would pour every creative cell into Campana Restaurant rebrand. Taking inspiration from classic diner’s and East Coast eateries we cooked up a timeless brand that captures this Portland staple’s heart and soul 🍝

Bruv. Real proud of this one. We’re talking paint markers, a linocut that took me three months to make because I’m a pro-level procrastinator and good ol’ paper collage. This is a real deal mixed media masterpiece ✨❤️‍🔥 Peep the details along with 200+ other artists and live music this Friday at
