I wanted to create something for Tacoma that was simple, memorable, and felt like part of everyday life. Something you could see every day and never get tired of. That’s how the 253 Rose came to life.
Tacoma catches a lot of criticism. People talk about the crime, the aroma, and all the things they think are wrong with it. But for those of us who grew up here, that’s not what we see. We see the beauty in it. This is the city that raised us, the place where we built memories, and the place where many of us are raising our own families.
Some people may always look at Tacoma and see its flaws. Locals see home. The 253 Rose is my way of showing that beauty and pride for the city we love.
