This bicycle has been part of The Vermont Country Store's story for decades. Lyman Orton rode it in our 50th anniversary parade, and again years later for our 70th anniversary celebration in Weston, Vermont. Today, it hangs proudly in our Weston store.

As we celebrate 80 years, we're reminded that our story is one that's been passed from generation to generation. Alongside Lyman, you'll spot his sons, Eliot and Gardner Orton, carrying on the tradition and helping lead The Vermont Country Store into its next chapter.

As you wander through our stores, be sure to look up at the rafters, around the walls, and into every corner. You'll find bicycles, signs, photographs, and countless other pieces, each with a story of its own. This bicycle is just one of many pieces that help tell the story of The Vermont Country Store, and the memories we've made over the past 80 years.
