Story behind the Art

This artwork tells the story of connection, community, and the joyful spirit of childhood. The circular patterns represent gathering places where families, Elders, and children come together to share stories, laughter, and knowledge. Each circle holds its own meaning: some represent people, others waterholes, meeting grounds, or moments of play and learning.
The flowing dotted paths between the circles symbolise journeys the way children move through life guided by culture, kinship, and Country. The bright pink tones reflect happiness, strength, and the vibrant energy of young spirits growing within their community.
At its heart, this design celebrates belonging, reminding us that every child is surrounded by stories, supported by our people, and connection to Country.
