A few of you have been asking about the dress I did some major alterations to, so here it is!
My beautiful bride brought me her dress last year, but unfortunately it wouldn't do up all the way in the back. She absolutely loved the mesh and lace detailing and wanted to keep it as best as we could. The hem needed to come up a fair amount as well, and so we were able to use some matching tulle and the lace from the excess hem to create a near invisible panel at the back.
This was pretty complicated due to how delicate the tulle and lace was, and trying to make it as invisible as possible without completely remaking the back (which we also could have done but would have been a much more complicated process).
The hem was also fairly complicated as not only did it have this gorgeous lace scallop, but also multiple layers including a crinoline layer.
We had multiple fittings to ensure the back sat just how the bride wanted it, and in the end she was so happy with it. Honestly, that part makes it all worth it! Seeing the bride's smile and joy as her dress finally fit always makes me so happy!
Thank you to this beautiful bride for trusting me with such a complicated alteration, and congratulations on your beautiful wedding!
