“Where the grill leads and the music follows” is the motto at Common Cuts, a grill and listening room in the CBD. When their team’s not dishing up steak frites, they’re probably at some of these go-to spots.

From suits to coveralls, the Bespoke Uniform Guide includes dozens of styles that reflect the decade we’ve spent dressing hospitality. These pieces are made to order, so all customisations can be considered, but it’s a great start.

We’ll give you a glimpse at some of these pieces in time, but you can request a copy of the guide on our website now.

Lastly, should we put together a compilation of Huw doing skids?

We are happy to report lives up to the name. Comfort food dialled all the way up. And beignets. Why haven’t we been eating more beignets?

Hi friends. Huw and Andrew here, dropping in for a moment to share some rather big news for our studio.

This week it was announced that Worktones is involved in the largest cultural infrastructure project in Australia since the Sydney Opera House, Parramatta.

It’s a real honour to stand alongside so many other leading Australian designers and to have the opportunity to make uniforms that will lift to the level of this once-in-a-generation project.

We have set out to create a cohesive uniform for the front-of-house team unified through common fabrics, detailing and trims, then extended with role-specific pieces. Each garment will reflect our journey as a design studio - silhouettes, finishes and functionality shaped by over a decade as the name hospitality operators trust.

The crew have been flat out slinging tacos to hoards of people at their sister restaurant .melbourne, which opened in Chinatown late last year.

We came to the rescue with a Milk Crate Break, pulling aside co-owners Isaac and Kady and cracking some hard earned Tecates.

10,000 likes and Isaac will open his “bog-standard” cafe concept.

This could be you after winning the x giveaway.

Head to our last collab post for a crack at a $150 Pep pack and a custom embroidered apron… home cooking never looked so good.

Competition closes this Sunday, folks.

is a charming restaurant inside a 137 year old heritage-listed church. Where a priest once stood, now stands an open kitchen serving Coq au Vin and other gorgeous dishes.

Dinner at August is a must, but their team have kindly put together some other suggestions for what to eat, drink and do around West End.

We heard “world’s best designed bar” and thought that was a bit of us. We recently paid a visit to in the CBD by brothers Ross and Gordo for happy hour, namely their killer $13 martini. 🍸

Paired with a few snacks (that bruschetta) and that’s exactly how we like to be sent off into the evening.

Please field your enquiries on the insulated wine handbag to Sarah.
