Incoming… yarn delivery! 📦✨

And we’ve got some beautiful new shades to share with you. Just look at this stunning bright yellow 💛

Fun fact: yellow and orange are actually some of the hardest colours to source when I’m hunting for deadstock yarns. I spend a lot of time tracking down surplus yarn from British mills, rescuing luxury fibres that would otherwise go to waste and giving them a second life in my weaving kits, yarn bundles and textile projects.

What would you make with this sunshine-yellow yarn? ☀️🧶

April 2026… a month we’ll never forget 🤍

Not only was I on BBC One the day after my due date… but we also welcomed our baby girl just 4 days later 🥹

Here’s a little look at what my camera roll looked like this month:

1. April really was that month…

2. So weird seeing your own face on TV (and on catch-up!). I still haven’t watched my episode 🙈 but thank you so much to everyone who tuned in

3. Max and I packed a lot of orders this month

4. Feeling very pregnant… and doing lots of walking to try and coax baby out

5. Trying to get ahead of orders before the show aired

6. Prepping textiles for

7. Packing orders after the show went live with my wonderful husband

8. Started making cushions for our living room… still not finished!

9. Multiple post office runs, my parents even stepped in when I went into labour 🥹

10. So many beginner weaving kits off to new homes… please send me your creations, I’d love to share them!

11. A lovely photo from a friend… her dog relaxing under a blanket 🐶

12. Making cushions for customer orders

13. Tidied the studio for maternity leave… then completely messed it up again packing orders after the show aired 😅

14. Went into hospital… and came out 76 hours later with our baby girl 🤍

15. Getting used to a whole new world of nappies and breastfeeding

16. Got a bit of cabin fever and popped into the studio for a couple of hours

17. Max & Orla came along to help 🥹

18. Catching up on orders while Orla napped

19. It’s crazy how quickly life can change… a whole new chapter begins

20. Feeling so loved and grateful 🤍 thank you to everyone who ordered this month, and for your patience with any delays. And thank you to friends and family for all the flowers, food and love

Here’s to May… finding our feet as a little family, new routines, and (hopefully) some sunnier days ✨

Today I’ll be back on for a new season ✨

This episode was filmed back in November, on a Sunday in my studio, somewhere in between house renovations, morning sickness, pregnancy, working at the university and running Shiv Textiles… so honestly, I feel like I can barely remember that filming day at all 😅

Life was full-on, chaotic and exciting all at once, which feels very fitting for this whole chapter.

I really hope you enjoy watching it. I’ve never been the biggest fan of seeing myself on camera or hearing my own voice, so I may save watching it for a little later 🙈

I never imagined I’d be asked back for another episode, so the whole experience came as such a lovely surprise. Definitely not something I had on my 2025/2026 bingo card… especially it airing on one day after my due date!

(Still no baby yet… I’m patiently waiting 👀🤍)

It just goes to show that life and running a small business is never a straight line. It’s messy, exciting, unpredictable and often a total rollercoaster… but sometimes the most unexpected moments turn out to be the special ones.

If you tune in today, let me know 🤍

Soon to be 3 🤍

With my due date tomorrow, I just wanted to pop on here to say hi… and thank you so much for supporting my small business 🤍
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve been slowing down over the last couple of weeks, and I’ll be slowing down even more over the next month or so as we take some time to settle into life with our little family.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My online shop (via my website and Etsy) will stay open, and the wonderful Tiz, who packed orders for me while I was away on our New Zealand honeymoon adventure is coming back to help again. She’ll be holding down the fort in the studio while I take a step back.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ll still be checking emails, but replies may be a little slower than usual, so please bear with me.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This feels like such a new chapter for both me and my business... exciting, emotional, and if I’m honest… a little scary too. Taking my foot off the pedal after building Shiv Textiles since 2018 doesn’t come naturally!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Any fellow small business owners who’ve navigated this season of life… please leave your tips below. I’d love to hear your wisdom 🤍
