Our second bag course took place this last weekend.

This is a brand new course - there’s absolutely nothing else like it anywhere in the UK. All the processes and engineering have been 18 months in the making. My two aims were: that they didn’t look home made and that you could make on a general domestic machine. Both have been achieved.

The last of this years course is held in November and it’s long sold out. New dates are being added soon for 2027.

October 5 week series: The Laken Rain coat. Available Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.

I adore dressing up, but sometimes we need to make garments that are going to work for our day to day lives.

My version of this pattern is made in a cosy pre quilted fabric from The Quilting Bee. My hack to the pattern is to fully line the garment. Originally the pattern calls for bias binding. You can absolutely do this, but now you have the option to line. Note you can extend the length of the jacket.

Jeans course coming up next week!

Our Autumn evening and morning classes begin again from next Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.

The theme is trousers, our sewalong is the jeans. However you can make any trouser you like.
