Designing CARETTA was never just about creating another p**p bag holder. It was about reimagining something we use every day, bringing intention to an object that’s often overlooked.

We looked to the ocean for inspiration and found it in the graceful silhouette of a sea turtle. Through countless sketches, over 50 iterations, material explorations, and hands-on testing, CARETTA gradually took shape.

From its seamless connection to our signature leash to the satisfying click of its magnetic closure, every detail was considered, refined, and refined again.

The result? A little everyday companion where nature, function, and thoughtful design come together.

A glimpse into our process, and a reminder that even the smallest things deserve great design.

A little behind the scenes of how our p**p bag holder CARETTA came to life.

What started as a simple question — “why can’t an everyday essential be both functional and beautiful?” — became a journey of exploration, testing, and refinement.

Inspired by the sea turtle, we set out to rethink the everyday p**p bag holder. Over 50 design iterations later, we arrived at a form that brings together thoughtful functionality, ocean-conscious materials, and a little joy in every magnetic snap.

From the first sketches to the final details, every decision was guided by our belief that good design should feel effortless, look beautiful, and care for the world around us.

Meet CARETTA. One small everyday object, thoughtfully designed for every walk.

Seaweed does some pretty clever chemistry.

It uses sunlight and dissolved CO₂ to grow, releases oxygen, and absorbs excess nutrients that can fuel harmful algal blooms—all without farmland, freshwater irrigation or added fertilizer.

To become paper, seaweed material can be dried, finely ground and blended with paper pulp, then pressed and dried into sheets. Some makers use seaweed-processing leftovers, giving by-products another purpose while replacing part of the wood pulp.

We use seaweed paper for our p**p bag packaging. A clever material for a very down-to-earth job.
