Growing our supply chain working with farms across the country means shorter travel distances, closer relationships with the people growing and making our yarn, and the ability to focus on quality at every stage of the process. It means creating something with intention - not speed. Keeping production close to home allows us to make cashmere that feels more connected: to the farms, to the yarns, and to the people creating with them.

Meet our newest herd member from Opuntia Ranch Laura is a true Goat Whisperer… this beautiful video captures Laura gently combing fiber from one of her cashmere goats, who came from Heidi’s Farm but Heidi couldn’t believe how calm this goat now was in the hands of Laura… this is an inspiring and deeply moving glimpse into what ethical fiber harvesting can look like: a moment of trust, care, and connection between human and animal. The growing herd at Opuntia Ranch plays an important role in fire mitigation across Colorado’s semi-arid landscape while also producing high-quality, ethically raised American cashmere. Her work demonstrates how thoughtful land stewardship and responsible fiber production can go hand in hand. We are grateful to welcome Laura and her herd to this growing movement for clean, ethical cashmere.
