We’ve built Stand4 around a simple idea: Buy One = Give One. With every pair you buy, we fund a pair to be donated through our network of partner organisations.

But giving a pair isn’t as simple as giving any pair. Our donations are designed around the people who will actually wear them — using feedback from shelters, charities and community organisations to understand what’s needed.

That might mean an antibacterial, season-appropriate sock for someone sleeping rough. Or a different style for someone staying in a women’s shelter, visiting a soup kitchen or preparing to return to work.

The idea is simple: match the sock to the need.

Socks are one of the most requested essentials in homeless shelters, yet they’re often one of the easiest things to overlook. People donate coats, blankets and clothing, but socks are a small everyday essential that can make a real difference.

That got us thinking: what if something as simple as a pair of socks could do more? That question became the idea behind Stand4 — to change the world, one sock at a time. Our Buy One = Give One model means every pair you buy funds a pair donated to someone experiencing homelessness.

We’ve since worked with partners across the UK, Europe, Ukraine and the US, and to date, have donated 875,000+ pairs of socks. 🧦
