Just 2 months to go before our Washington State Make It With Wool Contest on October 24th at the E9 Firehouse & Gastro Pub in Tacoma!

HUGE THANK YOU to Katrina Walker for sending me some of our prizes for our State Contestants!

I'm starting to get entry forms in for contest, so keep sending them in! Remember, we have 3 NEW Contests at our State competition: Wool Accessory, Wool Home Dec, and Costume along with our Pre-Teen, Junior, Senior, Adult, and Made for Other Categories. Happy sewing with wool!

Save your money and a lot of other things while you’re at it!

Save your money and a lot of other things while you’re at it!

The problem: The global textile industry contributes an estimated 8–10% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Our behaviours could shift that.

🪡

When we mend we are actively keeping our money from this destructive industry. That's the power of a needle and thread!

Mending can encourage valuing the clothes you already own instead of buying new.

By giving your clothes a second, third & fourth life, you’re making your money last longer.

It can slow down modern clothes-buying habits.

It encourages creativity and mindfulness - try visible mending or the Japanese Sashiko style.

Buy less, choose well, make it last!
