John with Camp Valor Outdoors just restocked us last night with their incredible 100% pure local honey and it inspired us to offer a new special -
We take one of our scrumptious hot biscuits and drizzle it with that delicious Camp Valor Outdoors honey.
If you don't end up licking the plate, there's something wrong with you.
So simple, SOOOOOOO good.

Exactly 3 years after our original grand opening in Warrensburg down on West Culton Street, we will celebrate what we have now created on North Holden.

And Manda Shea & The Sumpthin Bros. will highlight the festivities just as they did way back then.

We are so ready to get the tunes flowing again in our upgraded Mercantile and speakeasy.

And, of course, Adam Sommer - Live Music, has to be one of the very first talented musicians to take the new stage!

I am ready to spend an evening of music and fun with you all at the new and (somehow improved, which is hard to imagine) Magnolia Mercantile.

So we featured our gorgeous clothing department in a post yesterday and can't wait for all you to come see it in person.

Today, we want to introduce the new addition to the Magnolia family in our bookstore, Magnolia Manuscripts.

Teri and I worked hard, and fought hard :), about all the design options as we wanted to make absolutely sure we honored the history of this space, which was the living quarters of one of the original builders, CW Cord. And could not be more thrilled with the result.

We chose different color palettes for each and every room from The August Room, with a view of the courthouse, all the way back to our Cowboys & Indians room, which highlights all things from the American Old West including Native American culture, pioneer history and just good ole Westerns. There's a seating area in almost every room, including the beautiful Victorian scene in Teri's Green Room, and we encourage everyone to come, grab a book, and enjoy some downtown time in this space. Of course, we also encourage you to buy a coffee, a crumb cake muffin, and a few books.

We are constantly working on filling the shelves with both new and used books with over 400 being added next week. We also have a quaint little gift section there selected with book lovers in mind.

Starting next week, we encourage local book clubs to contact us about hosting their clubs in one of our spaces. We can't imagine a better location for getting together and talk literature. We can offer both times for coffee book clubs and Cabernet/bourbon book clubs.

We are also working on building up our local author section so please reach out to us about that as well if you interested.

Swing by tomorrow and see what we have been up to!

There's a buzz around town about the new Magnolia Market and Magnolia Mercantile now at 313/315 North Holden. People love the new space with all the old history. And there are rave reviews for the bookstore, Magnolia Manuscripts.

But we want everyone to also know there is a pretty special clothing store up on the second floor between the bookstore and the speakeasy lounge.

We just love how the colors of the dresses, blouses, shirts and jackets pop against the natural wood tones of the original floor from 1897 - just a symphony of color.

And we are happy to offer boutique clothing from both Luthy's Chic Boutique and Marmee's. Soon we will be hosting a fashion show in our speakeasy featuring ensembles from both wonderful shops. Stay tuned for this unique event - and of course the wine & whiskey bar will be open to enjoy the fashions.

Magnolia Mercantile is also proud to be an authorized dealer for the American icon Pendleton Woolen Mills and Criquet Shirts.

We are helping to bring clothing back downtown just like it was back in the day. And it's well worth taking the stairs up.
